Caring for Our Community ~ Raising funds and awareness for Imerman Angels

Giving back... Amy is kicking off her high heels and lacing up the running shoes, as she has committed to run the Detroit Free Press international half marathon on Oct. 16, 2016 as part of a team to benefit Imerman Angels. Imerman Angels is a great non-profit started by cancer survivor (and metro Detroit raised) Jonny Imerman to provide one-on-one cancer support for cancer fighters and their care givers. It's an amazing resource and an organization Amy (and Zimmer|Glime Real ...Estate) is proud to support, especially since she has seen cancer affect the lives of friends and family members, and she loves knowing there is a great easy-to-access support network out there like this.

As part of our efforts to care for our community, please consider supporting Imerman Angels too, by donating to Amy’s fundraising efforts. No gift is too small, as every dollar makes an impact, and any and all donation amounts are very much appreciated! Thanks in advance for your generous consideration! Our goal is to raise awareness and funds for Imerman Angels. And... each $350 raised for Imerman Angels provides the necessary funding for the organization to connect a cancer fighter to a cancer survivor (or caregiver to a caregiver).

Please also spread the great word about Imerman Angels and their one-on-one cancer support resources for cancer fighters and their care givers. IA’s service is absolutely free and helps anyone touched by any type of cancer, at any cancer stage level, living anywhere in the world. And, if you know someone that would be interested in volunteering or in becoming a Mentor Angel, please pass on the information about IA to them as well!

This weekend, Amy participated in two races (Run the Pointe & The Brooksie Way 10K) as part of her training for the October Detroit 1/2 marathon... With the 10k under her belt, she is starting to feel much more confident about the upcoming half!
